Day 1

Reykjavik

The city of Reykjavík is 234 years old today and has grown and prospered in line with the spirit of the times and is today the capital of Iceland and the most populous municipality in the country. Thus, Reykjavík is the economic, cultural, and political centre of the country. Upon checking into your hotel, you will have the rest of the day free to explore the streets of this colorful city including the below:

Day 2

Today, we check out from our hotel, get on our van and start our southern Icelandic journey. We’ll drive all the way to Vik Village.

• Geysir Geothermal Field

A hot spring and geothermal area, Geysir spouts water 30 metres (100 ft) into the air every few minutes.

• Gulfoss Waterfall

Gullfoss is a powerful, multi-layered waterfall in Iceland. Feel its mist up close or admire it from above.

Day 3

Today, after an early breakfast, we will be heading on a waterfall and beaches tour. Prepare yourself for an out of this world experience!

• Seljalandasfoss Waterfall

One of the best-known waterfalls in Iceland is the perfect first stop.

• Skogafoss Waterfall

This impressive waterfall is yet another one of Iceland’s extremely popular waterfalls.

• Dyrholaey

A small peninsula that juts out from the coast, with a stunning naturally formed arch.

• Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach

Day 4

Today, after an early breakfast, we check out from our Vik Hotel and head further east. We’ll be stopping by on the way for some of the most picturesque and unique sights.

• Eldhraun

The vast Eldhraun lava field was created in one of the greatest eruptions in recorded history and is of the largest of its kind in the world.

This magnificent canyon was once a hidden gem but growing in popularity. There is a walking trail along the canyon and to the bottom of the canyon to the river running through it.

Today, after an early breakfast, you’ve got the day free to enjoy the beauty of this small town, immerse yourself on one of the experiences around town.

• Ice Cave Tour 

An adventurous trip, off the beaten path, to Vatnajökull, Iceland´s largest glacier. We depart from Jökulsárlón (The Glacier Lagoon) every day at 9:30 am and 2 pm, driving approximately an hour off road to the glacier. During the scenic drive in our special Jeeps, we will see the best of Icelandic highlands. When we arrive at the ice caves, our professional guides will provide you with the right equipment and guide you as we enter the magical ice caves.

Day 6

Reykjavik

Today, after an early breakfast, we say goodbye to Hofn and get ready to get on the road back to Reykjavik. On our way back we will be making one stop at one of the highlights of the south coast.

• Jökulsárlón and Diamond Beach

No other place in the world is like the glacial lagoon, Jökulsárlón. Glacial icebergs fill up a pond that lets out into the ocean. Nearby there is a black sand beach, diamond beach, where the glacier pieces occasionally wash up onto.

Farewell Iceland
